First off…Hello! We hope you are all doing well and appreciate all of your support over the past
year and some change that we have been an official band. It is due to your support and friendship that we have been able to put together an album!
That’s right! We have an official album in the works. Basic tracking is done, we have some friends coming to help with overdubs so it is a real community effort, then we’ll be pushing it out into the world. We’re doing it quickly since we’re not at the point where we’re worried about a press cycle, etc. We’re recording it, mixing it, mastering it and getting it out to all of your ears by mid-September.
The downside of this? Well, we’re heading out of state in the middle of December, so our first run after the release will see us heading up to the Pacific Northwest for a 10-day run of shows. It should be another amazing run and all of those folks will get the first crack at the new album. Check out our tour dates page for those dates!
Now, I know that all of hometown buddies are wondering why we did this…well, it just kinda worked out this way. The good news is that we get to work the set into a masterfully orchestrated events…okay, that’s nonsense, but it will give you time to hear the songs and learn all of the words before we have our two local CD release show on the weekend of October 12th and 13th.
The first one will be at MOD Coffeehouse in Galveston, TX, which has become a home base for us on the island. It is always a great time and we’re thrilled to celebrate the release of our new album on their patio. The following night, we’ll be at our new home in The Heights of Houston, Dan Electro’s Guitar Bar. Scott and everyone at Dan Electro’s has been so supportive to use during the lifespan of this band that we felt it was the perfect place to share our joy with our hometown friends. Both of these dates will feature our buddy from Big Spring, TX, Chris Richburg, opening the show. The Houston date has Steve Tagliere playing, as well.
That’s all we have for now. Check out the dates on our tour date page to see where we’ll be next. We’ll be around Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma in the near future, so don’t miss us! Hope to see you all soon!
