Hope y’all are all doing great! Our new album is finally here! It was released last Friday via Bandcamp, preorders were mailed out, weights were lifted off of shoulders and we’re preparing for this week when it hits all streaming services! We sure would be grateful if you’d take some time to give the songs a listen. We worked really hard on them and are really proud of how they came out.
Even before it hit, the Houston Chronicle listed it as ’22 Houston music releases you need to hear in 2024,’ which felt good to see. If you want the full list of awesome local bands that we talked about, check out out at: https://www.houstonchronicle.com/entertainment/music/article/houston-music-2024-albums-suffers-kam-franklin-18620049.php
This Saturday, we’ll be doing our record release show at the Old Quarter in Galveston. This will be a FULL BAND show. Our first one ever. We’re really excited to do a live presentation of the album sounding as close to the recordings as possible. Tickets are available here: https://www.prekindle.com/event/79579-brightwire-record-release-show-galveston
Our hometown release will be on March 30th at Black Magic Social Club with Grifters & Shills and Shame on Me! This will also be Kim’s birthday party! Come out, celebrate, hear some new songs and have a wonderful night!
March 23rd, we’ll be heading to Fredonia Brewery to celebrate the new album there, as well! They’ve been real good to us over the past year so we’re excited to share our celebration with them!
We’re currently working on some in-store events, as well. We’ll add those as they come!
There’s still lots ahead in 2024, but for now, let’s not worry about it and celebrate Here, But Gone being out in the world!
See y’all soon!
