May is here! That means that Brightwire is back in action after a nice two month break. We’ve still been practicing and preparing for shows that lie ahead, we’ve just been spending some time going to shows and hanging with friends rather than playing shows. It’s been nice! So what’s ahead for us?
First off, we’re hitting the road later this month for some shows! We’ll be kick off the tour with a couple of shows with Rachel & Griffin from OKC. The first will be a trio show opening up for Rachel & Griffin on May 16th at The Old Quarter down in Galveston and the second will be a full band show closing it out on May 17th at Eighteen Ten Ojeman in Houston, doors at 2pm.
Then, we head up to Dipperfest in Park Falls, WI on May 23rd and 24th. That’s going to be a blast and the lineup is absolutely STACKED! On May 26th, we’ll be in Spillville, IA for the Inwood Sessions Spring Concert Series. That’ll kick off at 6pm. On May 28th, we’ll be at Kirby’s in Wichita, KS with some fine local folks. Music kicks off around 9pm there. And to close it out, we’ll be at Skydance Brewing Co. in Oklahoma City, OK on May 29th with a 7pm start there!
Our May 27th date fell through this week, so if you’re between Spillville, IA and Wichita, KS and want to play a show or hang out, let us know! We have a few booking emails out, but this close to the date is always hard. We’d love to play something that night.
New episode of Music in the Minor League drops next tonight at midnight, as well.
After the tour, we’ll be taking a little bit more downtime as we have some rad support gigs coming up later this summer locally. We’re stoked and look forward to telling y’all about them soon!
