It hasn’t felt like nearly 3 months since we updated the news part of the website, but life has been moving pretty quickly.
Currently, we’re done with most of our shows until November. We have a run to Kansas this weekend for a one-off show at Big Booty Trudy’s in Salina, KS, a birthday show for our buddy Mark over at Finn MacCool’s here in Houston and a September 6th show at MOD Coffeehouse before shutting it down for a couple of months.
Why are we shutting it down?
Well, first up, we’re working on a new album. And by working on, we mean we’re about 80% done with it at the moment. We did it in a weird order due to the current band layout. We used automated drums to record the instrumental parts, then had Joel come in and record live drums on the album. It’s weird, but it is the way it worked with our individual schedules. We’re working out new bass lines and touching up some vocal tweaks over the next month before mixing and mastering begins. We’re shooting for an early-2026 release date with initial singles dropping this winter.
The coolest part of the new album is that, in case you missed it, we’re recording it as a full-band release. No longer is Sam doing all the rhythm section parts. It sounds so awesome to have Joel and Rebecca laying down their own parts. The songs are getting bigger sounding and really pop now. We’re stoked.
Music in the Minor League should return from break on August 13th! We’re working to get a few back-to-back weekly releases to catch up on the break since we usually take December off. We’re looking forward to talking to some folks and getting the word out on more awesome bands!
That does it for now. We appreciate y’all taking the time to read through all of this. Be safe and fight the good fight!
