With the hustle and bustle around our June tour, we just kind of forgot to update the news section of the website. Sorry, y’all!
Since we last spoke, Kim finished up her degree, we hit the road for a tour through Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota, Kansas and Oklahoma with our buddies in Grifters & Shills and had a couple of awesome homecoming gigs. It’s been a pretty wonderful run this summer so far and we’re nothing short of grateful for all the love, support and friendship we received while we were out there.
When choosing a photo to include, we had to add this one with Elaine Holmes, Brian Johanson (of Sugar Britches), plus John & Rebecca of Grifters & Shills. Elaine, John and Rebecca had just driven in from Pondstock in Nebraska to come see us while Brian had just driven in from Wyoming to share the bill with us. It was one of the many highlights of our tour.
Did we mention a hurricane in there? There was a hurricane in there alright, but, fortunately, we made it out unscathed. Now, we’re at home, writing new songs and preparing for a busy August ahead.
On August 3rd, we’ll be at the Old Quarter with Brent Best. We’re VERY stoked for this show. We’re huge fans of Slobberbone, The Drams and his solo work, so getting the opportunity to open for Brent at the best venue around is something we’ve been looking forward to for a while now!
August 10th will see at Fredonia Brewery, which is always a fun show. We’ll be doing 3 full sets and playing all the classics. If you’re in the area, you should come hang! Fredonia really does treat us well and takes good care of their patrons, so we’re stoked to continually have a home there.
To close out the month, Kim and I will be doing a duo tour all over the northeast in lots of areas we’ve never played before like Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Jersey. All the shows are over in our ‘tour dates’ section. If you’re near any of these spots, come say hi! We’d love to see y’all!
That’s all we have for now! Hope y’all are staying safe out there and fighting the good fight!
