We ended our year a couple of weeks ago with our show at Ronnie’s Hog Heaven. We couldn’t really think of a better way to end the year than hitting one of our favorite bars, with our favorite bands and playing our hearts out. Everyone brought their A-game and we had a blast.
Our year saw us playing 50 shows in 12 states. We released a brand new record, appeared on various radio shows, did a second season of Music in the Minor League and hit some huge highs as a band. We’re grateful that for the 4th year in a row, we’ve grown musically and the recognition y’all have given us has grown. That means a great deal. Listenership is up everywhere, merch sales are up, attendance at shows has been up. We’re not unaware of our good fortune for a moment.
We will be taking it easy through the holidays and through the early parts of January to work on writing, dealing with health issues, family obligations and more. On January 25th, we’ll be kicking off the year with a full-band show at the Old Quarter in Galveston! Joel is throwing himself a birthday party with a lot of his favorite local artists. Grifters & Shills, Raudiver, Galvezton and India Tigers in Texas will be filling out the night, so you know it’s going to be a fine night of music!
We’ll leave y’all with that for now. We hope y’all have a wonderful holiday season! We’re going to be out visiting friends and reconnecting with all the folks we neglect by playing out so much. It’s always a lot of fun, but we’ll be back full-force in the spring.
Oh yeah! New season of Music in the Minor League kicks off on January 8th!
Later, y’all!
